Taken from "The History of the Clark Family" by D. Clark McIntosh
William was born in 1767 and died in 1843.
He was a farmer, and also known as a very good "plowman," living and working on the estate of John Brown, in Carrick, Scotland. William's wife, Agnes Robson, most likely lived and worked on this estate in a domestic fashion (cook,
maid, nanny, etc).
It was common to have plowing competitions among the farmers. A letter exists declaring that at the last plowing competition, William took second place, behind his son Samuel.
A direct line of ascendancy is found between William Thomas Clark and Vivian Viola Dolan Herrington.
